PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has added another notch on its belt, crossing 20 million copies sold to date. PUBG creator Brendan "PlayerUnknown" Greene announced the news on Twitter.

"[PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds] reached an amazing milestone this weekend, passing 20 million copies sold!" said Greene. "I know a lot of you are frustrated by issues [with] the game but the team is working hard to deliver a truly great Battle Royale experience for everyone. Bear with us, change is coming!

For those keeping score, the game crossed 16 million in mid-October, 13 million in late September, and 10 million earlier that same month. PUBG is simply selling at a blistering pace for a game that isn't even out of Steam Early Access yet. The game is scheduled to launch on the Xbox Game Preview program on December 12, 2017.

The player frustration mentioned by Greene in his tweet is related to a few issues, but one of the major ones has been the rampant influx of cheaters into the game. The company recently announced that it was going to be doing more to handle the cheating problems.

"Our development team is doing their best to detect and ban those who use cheats in a more proactive manner. We are aware that we still have much to do. We will use all available resources to combat cheaters and foster a safe and fair in-game environment," said the PUBG team. "As we announced before, we are in the process of adopting new tools to detect and verify users with unusual gameplay patterns and today, we will be rolling out additional measures."
